A Roaring Success: Wildlife Camerawomen at Wildscreen 2024
Wildscreen 2024 was a landmark event for wildlife camerawomen, with over 50 talented professionals from around the globe attending—many for the very first time. Thanks to the support and camaraderie within the group, additional workshops and events were organized, ensuring attendees gained maximum value to help offset the costs of travel.
Our 2024 Community Showreel premiered during the Queens Panel and is now above 25k views.
We had strong representation on panels including Lizzie Daly, Katie Mayhew, Natalie Clements, Justine Evans, Erica Rugabandana, Berenice Mathieu, Sue Gibson, Roxy Furman, Libby Penman, Faith Musembi, Tania Escobar, Abi Thomas, Sophie Darlington, Mads St Clair, Nova West, Nicki Meharg, Sugandhi Gadadhar, Sara Matasick and Erin Ranney.
Exclusive Pre-Festival Workshops
The excitement began on Sunday, prior to the festival’s official kickoff, with two exceptional workshops. RED and WildMotion generously provided 12 spots for their REDUCATION course, offering members a unique hands-on experience. Simultaneously, Wildstar Films kindly hosted a SYNC workshop at their offices, led by the talented Natalie Clements and Elizabeth Streeter, with support from Wildstar expert camera tech team Sean Fox, Ryan Symmonds, and Will Greenlees, who volunteered their time on a Sunday.
Building Connections Over Lunch
On Monday, the group hosted a vibrant networking lunch, bringing together over 50 camerawomen. This gathering fostered meaningful connections, allowing many attendees to meet in person for the first time, sparking exciting new collaborations.
