Meet Kashfi Halford @kashfihalford

Kashfi has been involved in the camera department since 2001 moving into being a camera operator on documentaries, one of her first big operating jobs was on the critically acclaimed ‘The End of the Line’ in 2009 about the future of the world’s oceans. Kashfi spent nearly 15 years in the UK film industry before relocating to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, seven years ago. Drawn to projects focused on the environment and nature, she works as a camera operator and DOP on long-format documentaries for the BBC, Al Jazeera, and others while also producing, shooting, directing, and editing short-form documentaries for Mongabay, Euronews and others highlighting important conservation and biodiversity stories.
