Meet Katie Wardle @Wildcamerakatie
Katie Wardle is a natural history camerawoman specialising in blue-chip and expedition productions. With a strong foundation built through years as a camera assistant across both drama and documentary, she brings extensive technical knowledge and a distinctive creative edge to her work behind the lens.
Her technical expertise has led her to operate complex 3D and thermal camera rigs, as well as challenging underwater setups, which became her first operating specialisms. Since then, Katie has continued to develop her craft, honing her skills in long-lens cinematography and working as a main camera operator across multiple natural history series.
While her focus is firmly rooted in natural history, Katie continues to dabble in drama, enjoying the opportunity to bring stylistic flair and visual storytelling across genres. Above all, she is driven by a love of storytelling and has developed a particular reputation for her sequence-building skills.
