Meet Yaz Ellis @_yazzellis

Yaz is an award-winning wildlife filmmaker and cinematographer based in Austria. She focuses on how wildlife is adapting to and challenged by human impact. With subjects including beavers living amongst people, flower-eating ground squirrels battling habitat destruction; and the world’s most endangered hamster finding sanctuary in a city.

In 2022, Yaz won the Cinematography Short Form award at Jackson Wild Media Awards. As well as the Animal Behaviour category of Wild Pitch at Wildscreen and Micro-Movie category for the United Nations' World Wildlife Day.
