Meet Sophie Darlington @sophie__darlington
Driven by a passion for light and nature Sophie has been making wildlife feature films and television throughout the Globe for over 30 years. She has an outstanding reputation as a highly experienced self-shooting cinematographer specialising in long lens camerawork, beautiful composition, high speed and animal behaviour. Sophie has worked on many feature films for Disney Nature, BBC Earth and The Discovery Channel as well as landmark television series for The BBC, Netflix, National Geographic, CBS, PBS & The Discovery Channel.
Sophie is also actively involved in increasing diversity in wildlife filmmaking through mentoring & public speaking as well as her filmmaking. Among numerous awards, Sophie shares an Emmy for her contribution to cinematography in Netflix series ‘Our Planet’, and a BAFTA for her contribution to BBC 1’s ‘The Hunt’.
